How Custom Manufactured Glazing Products Support Commercial Projects

Commercial buildings rarely use stock glass sizes. Each opening has its own dimensions, framing, and requirements. We review your plans and confirm field measurements so the glass fits the install. Custom glazing keeps your storefronts, glass walls, and windows consistent — we match thickness, edge work, and hole locations so the glass fits your hardware and framing. You get panels ready for install, not raw material that needs cutting on site.

Why Atlanta Contractors Rely on Custom Manufactured Glazing

Atlanta's mix of building styles means glass specs change from job to job. At MG Glass, we fabricate custom glazing products for all types of commercial projects — storefronts that need glass sized for aluminum framing, high-rises that need IGUs matched to curtain wall specs, office build-outs with unique glass requirements, and character buildings with non-standard openings where stock sizes don't fit. We measure and cut panels that match the existing framing every time.

Where Custom Glazing Products Get Used

Storefront assemblies need consistent glass sizing so doors, sidelites, and display windows line up across the front. Interior glass walls and partitions require custom panels for office fronts, conference rooms, and reception areas. Glass railing systems and architectural features also rely on custom glazing. We review your plans and determine which panels need fabrication to keep the finished install aligned.

Performance Options for Custom Manufactured Glazing

Glass performance depends on the purpose of the install. Tempered glass adds strength for doors and high-traffic areas. Laminated glass adds security and sound control. For projects where energy performance matters, IGUs and coatings help with temperature control and comfort. We walk you through the options so the glass matches the goals of the building.

Design and Spec Coordination for Custom Glazing Products

We review glass sizes, thickness, and edge details from your project documents — these details control how the glass fits the hardware and frame. Some panels need holes, notches, or cutouts for locks, hinges, or mounts. We place those features precisely so the glass drops into the assembly. We work with your contractor or architect to confirm everything fits before we start fabrication.

Frequently Asked Questions

What lead time should I expect for custom glazing?

Lead time depends on glass type, panel count, and complexity. Most orders ship in one to two weeks after measurements are confirmed. We provide a timeline during the planning stage.

Can you fabricate glass with holes and cutouts for hardware?

Yes. We position cutouts for locks, hinges, handles, and mounting hardware based on your specs. We confirm placement before fabrication begins.

Do you supply glass for both new construction and retrofits?

Yes. We fabricate glass for new builds and replacement panels in existing buildings. We measure the openings and match the new glass to the existing framing.

What types of glass do you fabricate most often?

Tempered panels, insulated glass units, and laminated glass are the most common. We also fabricate decorative and specialty glass for specific design needs.

What Other People Are Saying

Saved Us a Fortune

I can't justly describe the amount of money this team saved us on updating the 43 windows in our home. The team was first class from their survey to their installation process and production timelines. Other firms didn't get it right. Finally, they really stand by their work!

Excellent Customer Service

Update 10/1/2022 I've changed my rating to 5 stars. Last month MG Glass reached out to advise they received in the square hinges and asked if I wanted to swap out. Why of course!!! This is excellent customer service - own it and make it right! Love how my glass shower door. So many compliments. I've added a new pic of the square hinges. So far so good! Love the way my frameless shower door looks. The reason for the 4 star and not 5 star, my hardware doesn't match the style. The handle and clips are square but the hinges are curved.
