Commercial glass railing systems for staircases, balconies, and elevated walkways. Designed and installed by MG Glass in the Atlanta metro.
Commercial glass railings protect elevated areas without blocking views or natural light. At MG Glass, we install commercial glass railing systems for all types of properties — office towers with open mezzanines, mixed-use buildings with interior staircases, multi-tenant spaces with shared walkways, and newer developments where the build-out calls for a clean, modern look. We design each system for safety and durability while keeping the open feel your building relies on.

Commercial glass railing systems are guardrails that protect people in elevated areas while keeping clear sightlines across the space. They use tempered or laminated safety glass panels sized to match the railing opening and the structure supporting the system. Glass railings come in frameless and semi-frameless styles — base shoe systems secure the panels along the floor surface, standoff systems anchor the glass to structural mounts. We help you choose the mounting method that fits your building and the look you want.
Staircases and interior landings are the most common spot — the panels let light move between levels and keep visibility across the interior. Balconies and mezzanine levels need guardrails for safety, and glass lets visitors see across the building without obstruction. Retail centers rely on glass guardrails so customers can see activity across multiple floors. Outdoor spaces work too — rooftop areas, restaurant patios, and elevated decks get protection while keeping the view open. We position the panels so the railing fits the layout and flow of the building.
Tempered glass is the most common choice in commercial guardrails — it resists impact and meets structural requirements. We match thickness to the span and height of the railing. Laminated glass is available when added fall protection is required; the bonded layers hold the panel together after impact. We walk you through the options so the system fits your building and your code requirements.

Commercial glass railings must meet building code requirements for guardrail height and load resistance. The glass panels and hardware need to support specific force levels to meet safety rules. We review the requirements for your specific installation location, confirm glass thickness and mounting details, and make sure everything is right before we order. Every system we install meets local building codes.
Frameless systems create minimal visual interruption — the panels appear to float above the floor surface and keep the space feeling open. Some designs pair glass with metal top rails. Stainless steel or aluminum handrails add structure and work well with surrounding materials like steel framing or stone flooring. Clear tempered glass and low iron glass are the most common choices for maximum transparency. We help you choose hardware finishes that match the design of your building.

Juan Marquez started MG Glass in 1999 with a pickup truck in Lawrenceville. He still oversees every project. The crew is licensed and insured, and we regularly take on jobs other companies pass on — complex structural conditions, multi-level runs, buildings where coordination and code compliance are critical. If something isn't right, we fix it.

Yes. Commercial guardrails must meet height requirements and load resistance standards set by local and state building codes. We review the requirements for your specific location and design the system to meet those standards before we order anything.
A base shoe railing uses a channel along the floor edge that holds the bottom of the glass panel. A standoff railing uses individual stainless steel mounts anchored to a wall or structural surface. Standoff systems work well on stairwells and areas where floor mounting is not possible.
Yes, when the right hardware is used. We install stainless mounting components rated for outdoor exposure. We also confirm that the glass thickness is appropriate for the span and outdoor conditions.
Most installs finish in one to two days once the panels are ready. From first site visit to finished installation, most projects take two to three weeks. We confirm the timeline after the measurement visit.
Great communication, pricing and installation. Friendly and helpful guys were able to replace a custom build window. Thank you!
I can't justly describe the amount of money this team saved us on updating the 43 windows in our home. The team was first class from their survey to their installation process and production timelines. Other firms didn't get it right. Finally, they really stand by their work!
Update 10/1/2022 I've changed my rating to 5 stars. Last month MG Glass reached out to advise they received in the square hinges and asked if I wanted to swap out. Why of course!!! This is excellent customer service - own it and make it right! Love how my glass shower door. So many compliments. I've added a new pic of the square hinges. So far so good! Love the way my frameless shower door looks. The reason for the 4 star and not 5 star, my hardware doesn't match the style. The handle and clips are square but the hinges are curved.
