Do you manage a commercial building or operate a business that relies on glass storefronts, entry doors, or interior partitions? Many Atlanta business owners contact MG Glass with questions about commercial glass repairs and installations. In this FAQ, we answer the questions we hear most often so you understand how commercial glass projects move from inspection to installation.
At MG Glass, we support a wide range of commercial glass projects throughout the Atlanta area. You may contact us for storefront glass systems, commercial door glass, interior glass walls, and office glass partitions used inside commercial buildings.
Many businesses reach out when a glass panel breaks or an entry door panel requires replacement. We work with tempered glass, laminated safety glass, and insulated glass units that match the structural requirements of your opening.
Your project may involve interior architectural glass as well. Conference room partitions, office glass walls, and glass railings for stairways are common requests. Before fabrication begins, we measure every opening carefully so the finished glass panels align with the structure of your building.
We can fabricate retail display glass, tabletops, and custom panels that match the exact measurements of your project.
Your business depends on safe entrances and clear storefront windows every day. Broken glass or damaged doors can interrupt operations and create safety concerns for employees and customers.
The process begins when you contact us with details about the damaged opening. When you send photos of the storefront, door frame, and surrounding structure, we can prepare the tools and materials needed for your repair.
Once we arrive on site, we remove loose glass and secure the opening. Temporary protection may be installed so your building remains protected until the replacement panel is ready.
After confirming measurements, we fabricate the new glass panel and return to complete the installation. During this visit, we check hinges, closers, and door hardware so your entrance operates smoothly again.
Most commercial glass projects begin with a conversation about the opening and the work required. You may contact MG Glass about a damaged storefront panel, an office renovation, or a new glass installation planned for your building.
During the site visit, we measure the glass opening and inspect the framing system. Frame condition, mounting surfaces, and access points all influence how the glass will be fabricated and installed.
We record dimensions, review glass type options, and confirm safety requirements before preparing your quote. The written estimate outlines materials, hardware, fabrication steps, and installation details so you clearly understand the project scope.
If your building has multiple openings, we can organize measurements and prioritize the areas that need attention first.
The type of glass used in your commercial space affects lighting, privacy, and daily function. Clear glass panels remain popular for offices and retail environments that benefit from open sightlines and natural light.
Some business owners prefer frosted or textured glass for conference rooms and meeting areas. These glass surfaces allow light to pass through while reducing visibility into the room.
Safety requirements play an important role in commercial spaces. Tempered safety glass and laminated glass appear frequently in entry doors, storefront systems, and guardrail installations. Laminated glass provides additional protection in areas where security is a concern.
You may choose tinted glass panels in offices that receive strong sunlight. Tint can reduce glare and make workspaces more comfortable during bright hours of the day.
Commercial glass installations must follow building safety rules that regulate glass thickness, mounting hardware, and installation methods. Entry doors and lower wall panels typically require safety glazing for protection.
Tempered safety glass appears in many storefront doors and high-traffic areas. Laminated glass may be selected when additional impact resistance is required.
Glass railings and guard systems involve structural mounting requirements and height regulations. When we evaluate your project, we examine the mounting surfaces and anchor points so the railing system attaches securely to the structure.
Hardware selection affects safety as well. Door closers, hinges, and locking systems must operate correctly in entrances that receive constant daily use.
Before fabrication begins, we review these requirements with you so the finished installation matches local building standards.
Routine cleaning helps your commercial glass systems remain clear and professional in appearance. Storefront windows and interior glass panels respond well to cleaning with a soft cloth and mild glass cleaner.
Aggressive scrubbing tools can scratch the glass surface or damage protective coatings. Using gentle cleaning methods helps preserve the glass finish over time.
Your door hardware benefits from periodic inspection as well. Handles, hinges, and door closers can loosen or wear after frequent use. When you address these issues early, you reduce the chance of larger mechanical problems later.
Commercial windows that use insulated glass units should remain clear between the panes. Fog inside the unit often signals a seal failure that requires glass replacement.

Great communication, pricing and installation. Friendly and helpful guys were able to replace a custom build window. Thank you!
I can't justly describe the amount of money this team saved us on updating the 43 windows in our home. The team was first class from their survey to their installation process and production timelines. Other firms didn't get it right. Finally, they really stand by their work!
Update 10/1/2022 I've changed my rating to 5 stars. Last month MG Glass reached out to advise they received in the square hinges and asked if I wanted to swap out. Why of course!!! This is excellent customer service - own it and make it right! Love how my glass shower door. So many compliments. I've added a new pic of the square hinges. So far so good! Love the way my frameless shower door looks. The reason for the 4 star and not 5 star, my hardware doesn't match the style. The handle and clips are square but the hinges are curved.
